Our last game of the 2017 season was on March 5th. Thank you to our participants, volunteers, coaches, and families.
The basketball sessions are 1 hour and involve drills and scrimmages. Participants learn how to dribble, shoot, and pass. They also gain a better understanding of the game and how to be part of a team. We will split up into 3 groups based on age. This year we moved all of our teams to Dominican University gym and some members of the basketball team will be on hand to support us. Practices began January 15, 2017 and ended March 5, 2017.
The following waivers need to be signed and submitted for participation in the PAASS Basketball League. For additional required forms, visit our Parents page.
Season runs from April to June, Sundays
This league is a unique opportunity for individuals ages 5-21 who have developmental disabilities to participate in Little League Baseball. Challenger League pairs participants with student athlete volunteers. The goal is to give everyone a chance to play, so there are only two basic rules: every participant bats each inning and everyone plays the field. Volunteers support the participants by encouraging and helping them in the field and when batting. Volunteers are also there to provide social engagement and to help with focus.
The Mill Valley Red Sox may travel to San Francisco, San Rafael, and Novato to play other Challenger teams. Home games are played at Boyle Park in Mill Valley. Games usually last 1-2 hours and we play 2 innings. The Challenger League participates in the opening day parade for the entire Mill Valley Little League and opening pitch which takes place in March.
